Iceland.

My dream destination.  I created this poster for my digital illustration course. I'm slowly becoming more comfortable with creating digitally rather than the free flow feeling of getting knee-deep in paint. I will get it, just like I will get to Iceland one day. Slowly, but surely.

Bicycle, bicycle, you are my bicycle.

I recently created an illustration for my dear friend Carmel, who wrote an intriguing article about a bicycle found in the St. Lawrence Market that she nursed back to health. You can find her musings here: http://cordesducoeur.blogspot.com/. Naturally, I'm a sucker for bikes, so I jumped at the opportunity! Static Zine was also kind enough to feature me on their site:

I will be making my debut in the second issue which comes out tomorrow in Toronto.  Make sure to pick one up if you are in the area. It showcases local talent, AND IT'S FREE. Everybody loves a freebie, you can't tell me otherwise!

Science of Slap.

I deserved this.
It looks as if I am slapping myself, but the hand belongs to my sister! I think she took out years of sibling rivalry on my face.

Those Bright Shiny Lights

A huge thanks to my pal Nathan for being my model tonight!  The shots turned out quite lovely as Louis Armstrong crooned through our car speakers.  A concerned neighbour happened to drive by as well - she thought the farm was, quote, "on fire." Those twinkling lights couldn't have made me happier.

I captured the birds today (and Douglas Coupland)

Another talented Douglas -
Other Worlds by Douglas Walker:

I've felt like a worker bee for the past week! It was wonderful to get out
and a get away for a little while. (and update this blog!)
bzz, bzz, bzz.
